It must be the middle of September, because the pigskin’s brief grasp of the countdown is slipping away. Not to say there’s not a decent amount of gridiron action to be had. The Texans gain momentum and reach 4th, but that’s the best any football team can hope for this week. It is the very busy Maroon 5 who tops the list.
Fresh off a summer tour, Maroon 5 took a brief nap and are back out there once more on the Honda Civic Tour, with Kelly Clarkson and Rozzi Crane. The latter individual has not been deemed notable enough to have her own Wikipedia entry, so your guess is as good as mine about why she’s there.
Kanye, obviously justifying my faith in him last week, makes the 8 point jump to second place. He added some additional shows to the new tour as many sold out quickly. Impressive, but part of me wonders if everyone is going in hopes of catching one of those increasingly more common rants live and in person.
Drake and LSU both remain where they were last week, while the Bengals kick off the bottom five with their inaugural countdown appearance this season. They’re followed by Luke Bryan and the returning Pink, who is not close to winding down The Truth About Love tour. She’s followed by Depeche Mode, whose appearance in Dallas today may have something to do with this bit of countdown success.
Finally, the Cowboys take the big tumble from one end of the countdown to the other.
Here is The Artist Currently Known as Rozzi Crane joining that élite fraternity (of everyone, ever) that covered Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy.”
